What do you think about Music Together @ WYEP?
Our family truly appreciates that WYEP opens its doors for Daisy Klaber and the Music Together program and we thank you sincerely. We were members of WYEP before meeting Daisy and will continue to be members especially since we love coming to the South Side for our music time. Until this program, we had not really taken advantage of being members aside from enjoying on air programming. Our son is 2 years old and very curious about the radio station. Being at the community broadcast center has been very exciting for him to learn about the magic that comes out of the radio. He is a curious little boy who is a sponge for new experiences and what better place for a music program than WYEP? Having the community space is wonderful and is perfect for family music and meeting other kids and families. Our daughter is now 4 and 1/2 months old and that may seem pretty young, but she's already shaking bells and sticks along with everyone else.
I could never say enough about how much we value "music class" as our son calls it and we hope that you will continue to open your doors for us. It has opened our eyes to the possibilities with our children and enriched our enjoyment of music. It isn't just something we listen to anymore, it is something vibrant that we actively make, talk about and learn from. While we would begrudgingly drive to somewhere outside the city for Music Together, there is something special about having it at WYEP. We first learned about it on air and were eager to sign up when we learned it would be at your facility.
Thank you again and we hope you continue to allow us to come together at WYEP.

I have been a member of WYEP since I was a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. I came here from LA worried there won't be any public radio stations that also had great music. I was glad to find I was mistaken when I quickly discovered WYEP back in 1996, and feel like I have grown with the station since!
Since that time, I have become a full-time professional, gotten married, and started a family. And I have felt that WYEP has continued to deliver on my needs as a music lover through every stage of my life. When I received my weekly e-mail newsletter and found that Music Together classes were being offered at your studio on weekends, I was thrilled! My husband and I work full time, while our 2 year old son is cared for either by his nanny or in pre-school every day of the week. Other Music Together classes offered throughout Pittsburgh only offered classes during the week at times that are most convenient for stay-at-home parents, and are on the weekdays. So the classes at WYEP are the only time that my family and I get to do the class together. Otherwise, my husband and I would not get a chance to enjoy this amazing experience with our son -- our nanny would get the pleasure instead.
My son loves these classes, and looks forward to them all week! And we treasure the amazing moments we share with him while he discovers and connects with music. I am pregnant with our second child now and hope to continue our new family tradition of enjoying Music Together on Sundays at WYEP for several years to come.

My husband and I and our 2 year old son recently completed the summer session of Household Harmony and we plan to participate in the fall program as well. In fact, we will join WYEP in order to take advantage of the discount for Household Harmony .
Our son truly enjoyed the class and we loved watching him transform from a shy and hesitant observer to a joyful and active participant in the classes. He listens to the CD at home and has a few favorite songs we play and sing over and over again. My husband and I were out of town one weekend and sent our son to class with his grandmothers- they still rave about the experience!
Daisy is a wonderful instructor with a beautiful and powerful voice. It's amazing to watch the children (and their parents) respond to her positive energy and unparalelled enthusiasm. Daisy's love for people and music absolutely brings the program to life!
Please continue this inspiring program! Weʼve enjoyed other WYEP events and programs over the years and are thankful WYEP is here to serve our community.

I cannot tell you how important our Music Together classes at WYEP have become to me and my son. He starts to sing as soon as we enter Bedford Square every Sunday morning. It's such a cool place to conduct class--right in front of the DJ studio, with like-minded parents, and with an enthusiastic group leader--Daisy Klaber. I really feel that the two organizations have the perfect affinity for one another.
I have always listened to WYEP and have wanted to become a member. I had never joined, not because I did not want to support the organization, but because I am a single mom strapped with bills. However, I am always more inclined to donate monies to organizations that help me to spend more time with my child in a musical, communal way. I just became a new member and hope to be able to contribute in the future. Plus, I love activities that allow me to spend time with my son while experiencing all the great things WYEP has to offer.
I greatly appreciate the partnership you have developed with Daisy Klaber and sincerely hope that we can continue to go to the Southside to be in such a cool environment where music--good music--is all around.

The program interests us because we are musically challenged, but we know music will bring so much joy to our daughter's life. We also see it as a great way to spend a weekend morning together!

Music education for my son at such an early age, the quality time with my son in such a creative environment, and the level of expertise the instructors offer. I also love that the classes are "unplugged" so to speak. It's good old fashioned singing and dancing. Can't beat that. The 10:30 Saturday time is perfect. Not too early so we still have time to enjoy a Saturday morning and we are finished just in time to head to lunch.

I gotta tell you… I am really sad that the session is over next week…
[My wife], the boys and I have had a most delightful time.
Daisy, you are truly wonderful. An absolute joy to watch with the kids. I am so incredibly happy that we have been able to share this time together.
I guess I am trying to say Thank You. Watching and working with the boys in class has brought me to tears (though I have done my best to hide it) multiple times. Such a wonderful concept, driven by an incredibly wonderful women and impacting the two most important people in my life.
thanks you thank you thank you.
see you saturday!
